My Background
I’m a 24-year-old native Californian with a lifelong curiosity for languages, technology, and how systems work.
I love Star Wars, gaming, and digging into anything that lets me learn or build something new. My education background isn’t in education—I actually majored in Cybersecurity. But that’s part of what helped shape the way I teach.
That technical training taught me to see patterns, simplify complexity, and optimize systems. And when I started learning languages myself, I immediately noticed something: traditional methods were full of inefficiencies. Too much memorization. Too many rules. Not enough clarity. Whether it was a rigid classroom, a boring textbook, or a repetitive mobile app, none of them were actually getting people to communicate.
So I approached English the same way I approached tech: remove the unnecessary rules, keep what actually works, and make the whole system easier to understand.
I don’t see English as a chaotic list of exceptions—I see it as a structure you can decode. Once you see the patterns, English becomes logical, predictable, and even hackable.

Why I Do This
Like many of you, I've spent countless hours learning a new language. I know the challenges and the rewards. My journey into teaching began in language exchanges, where I found incredible joy in helping others with their English.
That feeling of simplifying a difficult concept and seeing the "aha!" moment in a language partner's eyes made me realize this is what I enjoy doing.
But I noticed a pattern. Many motivated students freeze up when it is time to speak. They fall into a common trap: they know a lot of grammar rules, but they cannot have a real conversation.
Traditional methods often fail here because they focus on rules instead of connection, creating anxiety rather than confidence. I built a new approach to break you out of that cycle. It uses a modern, empathetic foundation designed to do one thing: empower you with the confidence to finally communicate in the real world.

What it is: A philosophy that the main goal of language learning is effective real-world communication, not just passing tests.
How I use it: My courses prioritize being understood in authentic conversations. I focus on fluency and confidence first.
Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT)
What it is: Lessons built around completing practical, real-world tasks, not just abstract grammar topics.
How I use it: You'll learn by doing. My lessons are built around "Can-Do" statements like "I can tell a story about my vacation."
The Affective Filter
What it is: The emotional "wall" (anxiety, boredom, low confidence) that blocks learning, even with good lessons.
How I use it: This is a "no-fear" environment. My lessons, gaming sessions, and community are designed to be low-pressure to keep this wall down.
Comprehensible Input (i+1)
What it is: The concept that we learn best by understanding input just one small step beyond our current level.
How I use it: My lessons are carefully designed to stretch you, but not overwhelm you, ensuring you're always making progress.
Spiral Curriculum
What it is: A curriculum designed to reinforce your memory by revisiting concepts over time at increasing levels of complexity.
How I use it: You won't just learn a grammar point and move on. I'll revisit key concepts in different contexts, reinforcing your skills.
The NGSL List
What it is: A scientifically selected list of the 2,800 most frequent words in English, which account for over 90% of real communication.
How I use it: This is my "scientific shortcut." I build your core vocabulary around these high-value words first.
Spaced Repetition (SRS)
What it is: A scientifically-proven technique that overcomes the "forgetting curve" by reviewing information at specific intervals.
How I use it: I provide pre-made Anki (digital flashcard) decks for my courses that use SRS, ensuring what you learn sticks.

Is it really just you running everything?
Yes! I run this business 100% by myself.". I built the site, wrote the curriculum and maintain everything. This keeps the vision pure and the quality high.
Why focus on "False Beginners"?
Because that was me. I spent years self-studying languages but still froze up in real conversations. I realized most resources serve total beginners well but abandon people in that awkward "stuck" phase. I built platform to bridge that gap.
What languages are you learning?
I'm a passionate self-studier. Currently, I'm deep into Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Spanish is my heritage language.

My current favorites are Marvel Rivals, World War Z, and Dead Island 2. I'm a huge fan of zombie horror—if a game has zombies, I'll usually love it immediately!
